AWGI Letter to share holders
Good morning bloggers, this morning I’m highlighting AWGI as a top stock to watch before January. What you are going read is a past Letter to shareholders and Although this release was previously dropped on December 22nd I feel that it still has importance as we get closer to the new year. Treat this blog as a heads up if you will as the company is stepping up their marketing efforts Jan 5th-9th to inform investors of their potential for 2015. Why bring it up again? Well frankly it’s important for you because you can buy the stock before the January rush and that will make you a higher profit margin which is my job…Remember?
SPOKANE, WA–(Marketwired – Dec 22, 2014) – Ambient Water (OTCQB: AWGI), a leading innovator of atmospheric water generation systems for extracting water from humidity in the air, today released a letter to its shareholders from company CEO Keith White. The letter reads in its entirety:
Good morning and afternoon, thank you for taking the time to read this message.
The last few months have been considerably busy for Ambient Water, as well as our strategic partners, and we’d like to share with you some of the highlights:
- Ambient Water has placed a strong emphasis on pursuing commercial and industrial uses for its atmospheric water generation systems. The systems, as you may recall, are designed to cost-effectively extract water from the humidity in the air. An example of a specific industry sorely in need of fresh water is hydrofracking of oil and gas wells, a practice that requires a heavy draw from local water supplies. In fact, a 2014 study by World Resources Institute warns of the consequences surrounding water demand for drilling and fracking in areas around shale resources, as “26% of which are in areas with high and extremely high water stress.” Ambient Water is also targeting Vertical Farming, an environmentally friendly solution for food production in urban areas. In this scenario, atmospheric water generation is ideal for the potential to provide a high volume of water within a closed system that can often be difficult to provide water transportation to.
- An example of the first commercial application listed above is the recently planned implementation of the Ambient Water 400 at Applied Cryo Technologies in Houston, TX. As chronicled in a Cleantechnica article detailing the announcement, the system was implemented as a field test to gauge the amount of water generated under prevailing atmospheric conditions, as well as the power consumed by the system itself. The Ambient Water team is confident that in 2015, the data will show that the system can produce up to 400 gallons of clean water in a cost-effective manner.
- The agriculture industry, specifically greenhouse farming market, marks another area Ambient Water has identified as an opportunity for atmospheric water generation. In pursuing that focus, the Company recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with BW GLOBAL Structures, Inc. to supply Ambient Water 400 series equipment for turnkey greenhouse applications. The expectation for the project is to implement a cyclical water-use program, which would control humidity levels and temperatures in a sealed environment, while capturing the humidity from plant transpiration and converting it to irrigation water. BW GLOBAL plans on immediately implementing the Ambient Water 400 into two high-profile projects.
The statistics surrounding global water scarcities are frightening. According to Water.org — approximately 3.4 million people die from a water related disease each year, as the lack of potable drinking water has come into focus in many areas around the world. Even more alarming, approximately 780 million people lack access to clean water. Industries, not just people, are feeling the effects from the crisis as well. Recently, farmers in Arizona supported a new agreement that will help conserve the amount of water in Lake Mead, which could result in a short-term sacrifice. WorldWildLife.org has stated that, “Agriculture uses 70% of the world’s accessible freshwater, but some 60% of this is wasted due to leaky irrigation systems, inefficient application methods, as well as the cultivation of crops that are too thirsty for the environment in which they are grown.” Statistics around hydrofracking show a similar pattern, as according to the Ceres Investor Network, of the 40,000 fracking operations put in place over the past three years, three quarters are located in areas where water is scarce, and nearly 55% are in areas experiencing drought.
While these numbers should create concern for us as individuals as well as business people, we believe that the focus should be on sustainable solutions. With that in mind, the Ambient Water team will continue to establish its systems in verticals already discussed, as well as pursue implementation in industries where water scarcity is of great concern.
Thank you for your continued support, and have a great New Year.
