OriginOil Powers into Wednesday Following Tuesday’s Late Afternoon Surge!

Good morning!  Late in the afternoon, I searched through my list of symbols and when I pulled up OriginOil, a company I’ve been following for awhile now, I saw a big late afternoon surge…AGAIN!   Two days in a row OOIL has seen incredible amounts of upward momentum late in the afternoon session and yesterday was no different.

Coming off the heels of major milestone announcements including the demonstration of its CLEAN FRAC system’s energy efficiency that cripples competitors like Halliburton, it would appear that the attention on this company has grown.  Yesterday alone, there were people in chat rooms and message boards rallying behind OOIL and many had never mentioned it before.  For this reason, I’m coming back to OOIL today not only because of the increased attention but for the big surge in buying that came yesterday during power hour.

You’ve all seen this symbol before and should realize by now that OriginOil has a strong tendency to run fast especially after hitting support. So pull up OOIL and check out the latest announcement (Read it Here).  If Tuesday’s momentum continues into today’s open, OriginOil could be set for a strong rebound heading into the rest of this week.  Happy Trading!

OriginOil Inc. (OTC/QB: OOIL), developer of Electro Water Separation™ (EWS), the high-speed, chemical-free process to clean up large quantities of water, demonstrated the very low energy cost of its Electro Water Separation™ (EWS) technology in treating frac flowback and produced water during large-scale testing at a salt water disposal well in Western Colorado.

“We knew from early lab tests that our energy usage was very low, but now in the field, we see that the numbers are even more impressive than expected,” said Lee Portillo, OriginOil VP of Engineering. “Our Specific Energy Consumption (SEC) averaged 0.22 kWh per barrel including pumping and membrane energy.”

For comparison, these CLEAN-FRAC numbers are more than 60 percent lower than Halliburton’s published energy usage of just over 0.56 kWh per barrel for its CleanWave Mini-Water Treatment system.

“While using less energy than a leading competitor, CLEAN-FRAC also removes a greater percentage of contaminants, while eliminating most bacteria and dissolved organics, a real challenge in high-volume applications,” continued Portillo. “CLEAN-FRAC is the optimal solution for chemical-free oil and gas water treatment.”

The system tested was OriginOil’s CLEAN-FRAC™ end-to-end system, configured with an iSep™ UltraFiltration (UF) membrane system from TriSep Corporation to provide downstream polishing. CLEAN-FRAC systems are packaged with best-in-class downstream steps to meet a customer’s specific water quality needs. (See Chart).

On 27 May 2014, a showcase was held at the headquarters of OriginOil licensee, Industrial Systems Inc. (ISI) on Colorado’s Western Slope, the showcase featured the CLEAN-FRAC™ field scale system (photo), which is designed to process frac flowback and produced water at a rate of up to 1500 barrels per day (bpd), to the exact purity levels that customers require.
